Prize Tomás Luis de Victoria


Thursday May 28th alcides lanza will be in Spain where he will receive the XIII Prize Tomás Luis de Victoria, offered by the SGAE Foundation, at the Real Academia de San Fernando. The official presentation will include a concert of his works including arghanum V,  ektenes III, interferences III, and vôo featuring performances by Meg Sheppard (voice), Horacio Lavandera (piano), and alcides lanza.

On the program, plectros I [1962-II], for piano, two performers and ektenes II [1987-IV}, for oboe and percussion, both pieces by alcides lanza.
Other works in the program by Srul Irving Glick, Karl-Heinz Stockhausen and Luciano Berio.

aCage [2012-I] @ the Rainy Days Festival


 

alcides lanza: aCage [2012-I], for toy pianos, other instruments and one slide projection, will be premiered at the Rainy Days Festival. This years festival is devoted to the works of John Cage, November 24 to December 2, in Luxembourg.

The premiere of aCage [2012-I] will be part of the closing concert of the festival on December 2 in the Grande Salle, Philarmonie de Luxembourg.
